IV Poles and Accessories

In general IV poles serve a variety of uses in healthcare.  They are often used for fluid and medical management on the non-responsive patient but then later you often see the same person pushing that pole as they move about the facility.

It is not as simple as it looks and longevity is often tied to the materials used to make a them.  Economy IV poles tend to be chrome plated steel which works well for minimal use areas with relatively light loads.  For areas of high use you want stainless steel for its durability and ease of cleaning.

The tops hooks reveal how many bags can be hung and this also tells the story of how good the clamp needs to be to accomplish the task of keeping them at the correct height. We sell the 2, 4 and 6 hook tops plus we are adding the 8 hook rake top.

The base is the foundation and determines how easily the pole will move around and over basic obstacles such as tile to carpet edges or cracks in a surface.  In general the larger the wheel the smoother the move.  Additionally the heavier the load on the pole, bags or accessories, the larger the number of wheels needed to move it easily and to insure the full usable life of the pole.
